Freshmen Sarah Chang and Rachel Goranson made their debut performances for the Thunder’s first team with scores of 170 and 186, respectively, to help the team in their fifth place finish.
The Thunder’s second team came in 11th in the tournament with a total of 729.
Coming away from the tournament, senior Alexa Tyler had high hopes for the team.
She said, “This season could be really great for us. All of our girls put in a lot of hard work this summer and with golf, mental preparation is everything. We have a chance to continue to improve and play really well.”
